OverviewAs theAegis Combat Systems Specialistworking for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you willmaintaintechnical and engineering support in the systems engineering, integration, development, maintenance, documentation, and operation of TrainingTools.
Responsibilities
- Provide schedules, technical, engineering, and analytical services in support ofsystemsengineering, integration, exercise scenario development, maintenance, and documentation of exercise scenarios for tactical team training systems
- Review specification documents and provide comments to theappropriate NavyReview Team (NRT) and/or Fleet Project Team
- Provide technical, engineering, analytical, and operator support in efforts to integratenew technologyinto tactical team training systems and Navy Integrated Learning
- Leverage the use of open-source artificial intelligence (AI) models to accelerate development and update of scenarios, associated documentation, delivery letter, scenario catalog, and scenario management tools
- Support the design of tactical team training system exercise scenarios to incorporate available shipboard combat training devices
- Representative systems are ACTS, ATD, BFTT, AN/SQQ-89 Onboard Trainer (OBT); Surface Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Synthetic Trainer (SAST); Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) Enhanced Trainer (CET); CEC Underway Trainer (CUT); CS3;AN/SLQ-32 Electronic Warfare OBT, Battle Force Electronic Warfare Trainer (BEWT); and Surface Electronic Warfare Team Trainer (SEWTT)
- Maintain exercise scenarios and provide configuration management of Training exercise scenarios and provide a written report
- Perform Verification and Validation (V&V) for each ACTS, BFTT, ATD, and CS3 exercise scenario prior to delivery
- Provide documentation for each tactical team training exercise scenario, including the ECG, delivery letter, Scenario catalog, and scenario management tools via physical media and electronic means (such as SECRET Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Safe and scenario repository website on SIPR Network (SIPRNET)
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Four (4) years AEGIS Combat System shipboard experience including two (2) deployments as senior CIC watch stander onboard a CG, or DDG
- Additionally, at least six (6) years as a Combat System Instructor
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated progressive experience in supervising the planning, organizing, review and implementation of Combat System training needs and requirements
- Demonstrated experience in the following knowledge of training methods,monitoredsimulations or problem-solving scenarios, and interactive, multimedia instructional technologies
- Demonstrated ability in development of training materials
Salary range (subject to experience and qualifications)- $110,000-$140,000
