-Provide direction and oversight to a team within the NYC Accelerator program to connect multifamily building owners and managers with technical and financial resources, tools to find service providers, and support to maximize the J-51R tax abatement and other incentives.
-Provide technical housing finance and regulatory expertise to define MOCEJ's programmatic goals, and work to increase adoption of scalable, replicable energy efficiency and carbon reduction solutions that improve resident comfort, safety, and health.
Policy Implementation
-Develop and advance medium- and long-term goals and policy initiatives to expand resources available to multifamily housing for decarbonization and resilience, working through agency partner development, City leadership review, and engagement with State agencies. -Assist in the creation of an ongoing working group of senior lenders, community development financial institutions (CDFIs), and capital providers on best practices and development of new products to meet the needs of NYC's multifamily housing community.
-Attend industry events, expos, and meetings relevant to NYC cooperative housing and multifamily sector to promote the Co-op Hub and learn about best practices and innovation in the industry.
Policy Research and Analysis
-Track multifamily housing policies at local, state, and federal levels and collaborate with federal and state offices, municipal agencies and authorities, and local organizations on support and resources for multifamily buildings to reduce energy and carbon emissions.
