Senior Advisor Finance Business Partner Metals (Kennecott Utah Copper LLC, South Jordan, UT)

Responsible for monitoring department cost transactions and conducts month-end close processes. Provides cost and trend analysis. Supports Metals Operations budgeting process (cost model, SAP uploads, plan presentations). Manages and upskills stakeholders in cost control. Evaluates dept capital projects ($10M or less). Manages and improves financial tools and systems. Provides financial insights and reporting to stakeholders.

Telecommuting permitted up to two days per week.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and 10 years of related work experience.

Must have 10 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Finance; and
  • Presenting complex financial or operational data to internal stakeholders.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Mining operations;
  • Financial analysis and financial modeling;
  • Aligning financial initiatives with the organization's strategic objectives in the mining sector;
  • Analyzing business and value chain data, including interpreting complex financial data and making recommendations to support business decisions;
  • Managing multiple concurrent projects, including scheduling, task prioritization, and meeting project deadlines; and
  • Using Microsoft Office, SAP, and Power BI.
