The draft PWS identifies these positions as flexible-location Key FTEs.
The selected candidates will support Government leadership and Integrated Product Teams in evaluating weapon-system supportability and maintainability requirements, analyzing logistics and maintenance data, coordinating with Fleet stakeholders, and leading actions related to adversary-platform acquisition, transition, site activation, training, manpower, and Contractor Logistics Support.
These positions require senior Naval Aviation professionals who can independently analyze complex sustainment issues, develop actionable program products, and integrate acquisition, logistics, maintenance, financial, and operational information.
Responsibilities:- Analyze program/project objectives, requirements, status, budgets, schedules, and lifecycle support needs for adversary aircraft and associated systems.
- Support development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon-system supportability and maintainability programs and information systems.
- Evaluate logistics requirements and resources and support development of logistics support, maintainability, acquisition, and readiness plans.
- Perform budgetary and financial analysis, life-cycle cost analysis, and Integrated Logistics Support / Reliability and Maintainability program analysis.
- Collect, compile, investigate, analyze, and apply logistics, maintenance, acquisition, readiness, and financial data.
- Develop, modify, prepare, or validate documentation supporting automated logistics, maintenance-data reporting, and management-information systems.
- Coordinate with Fleet points of contact to refine requirements and lead actions involving adversary-platform acquisition, transition, site activation, pilot training, system development, manpower, and Contractor Logistics Support.
- Develop adversary-system roadmaps and long-term plans for future adversary platforms and support related readiness, configuration, and sustainment reviews.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, engineering, logistics, aviation, finance, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of professional experience performing program/project management, aircraft sustainment, logistics, maintenance, acquisition, or equivalent duties.
- Minimum 7 years of experience supporting NAVAIR and/or the Naval Aviation Enterprise.
- Demonstrated experience independently analyzing complex aviation sustainment, logistics, or maintainability requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active Secret security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications- Specialized experience supporting F-5 or F-16 aircraft and/or extensive experience supporting Navy or Marine Corps aircraft maintenance and modifications.
- Experience with Naval Sustainment System-Aviation (NSS-A) processes and briefings.
- Strong background in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Reliability & Maintainability (R&M), aircraft maintenance, supportability, readiness, or Contractor Logistics Support.
- Experience with maintenance-data reporting systems, configuration management, product supportability, obsolescence, or readiness analytics.
- Prior military aviation maintenance, logistics, or NAVAIR experience.
