Position Summary

The Senior SAP Basis Administrator serves as a senior technical authority for the architecture, administration, availability, performance, and operational reliability of FFF Enterprises' SAP landscape hosted on Google Cloud. The position provides hands-on technical leadership across production, non-production, sandbox, and disaster recovery environments and supports SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, Solution Manager, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and related technologies.

The role is accountable for stable and resilient SAP technical operations, including platform administration, monitoring, performance optimization, incident and problem resolution, transport and change management, upgrades, patching, refreshes, security coordination, high availability, disaster recovery, cloud initiatives, and production support. The Senior SAP Basis Administrator provides advanced technical judgment during critical events, coordinates cross-functional response and vendor escalation, and maintains disciplined operational documentation, control evidence, and recovery readiness.

Working across SAP functional teams, infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, database, application, business stakeholders, and retained managed service providers, the position contributes to platform modernization, production readiness, technical risk reduction, and long-term SAP operating model maturity. The role requires deep SAP Basis expertise, strong ownership, independent problem solving, clear business-oriented communication, and participation in 24x7 production support and on-call coverage for critical enterprise systems.

Monitoring, Performance & Operational Reliability:
  • Monitor SAP application servers, work processes, updates, locks, queues, dumps, system logs, background jobs, interfaces, IDocs, RFCs, database status, workload, memory, CPU, disk capacity, and system availability.
  • Review alerts, failed jobs, degraded performance, system exceptions, and recurring technical events to determine business impact, urgency, root cause, and required action.
  • Execute and validate recurring SAP operational health checks and identify emerging reliability, performance, capacity, or control concerns before they affect production operations.
  • Analyze workload, response time, database performance, table growth, background processing, application-server utilization, and other technical indicators to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
  • Coordinate performance tuning and technical remediation across SAP Basis, database, infrastructure, network, middleware, application, and managed service teams.
  • Maintain and refine monitoring thresholds, alert-response procedures, operational checklists, performance baselines, and technical support runbooks.
