Job Description:

The Sr. Accounting Manager is responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis, general ledger account reconciliations, and oversight of internal controls. Also assists Director of Accounting with internal and external audits, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, KPI's, and other adhoc requests as needed.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Manage closing activities during month-end and year-end to ensure timely reporting.
  • Analyze monthly results for fluctuations and variances from budget and prior periods.
  • Prepare various monthly management reports.
  • Work with department leaders in completing Controls Self-Assessment survey (J-SOX) and make recommendations to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Prepare monthly accruals, intercompany transactions, and other journal entries.
  • Maintain operating and capital lease schedules.
  • Prepare/review monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assist with the development, planning, and evaluation of internal controls across the organization.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits.
  • Provide support for tax compliance - income tax, property tax, sales tax, excise tax, and foreign tax
  • Provide back-up support to other areas within Accounting/Finance as needed.
  • Comply with all applicable customer, safety, ISO/IATF 16949 QMS, and ISO14001 EMS requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, Experience and TRAINING

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA license.
  • Experience: 10+ years of related accounting experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years' experience as a people leader
  • Experience in supervising direct reports.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Strong Organizational, Verbal and Written skills.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems with SAP experience preferred.


The salary range for this position is $117,000-$137,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
