Purpose:
At Worley, the Senior Accountant - U.S. Statutory Reporting plays a key role in overseeing accurate and compliant financial reporting for the U.S. operations, in line with IFRS standards. This position supports critical financial processes including month-end close, general ledger maintenance, statutory filings, technical accounting and system improvements. The Senior Accountant will also support process enhancements, manage multi-currency transactions, and collaborate with various internal teams including Payroll, Project Accounting, and Shared Services. Reporting directly to the U.S. Controller, this role is instrumental in driving operational efficiency, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting special projects and audit requirements.
Responsibilities:
Perform and support the month-end closing process, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and other closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
Perform detailed analysis of the U.S. Burden to ensure accurate accounting treatment in compliance with IFRS, as well as forecast the Burden Cost.
Collaborate with Payroll, Project Accountants, and the Statutory Accounting team to drive process improvements related to the Burden process.
Manage multi-currency transactions, ensuring accurate conversion and compliance with applicable financial regulations.
