GROWTH OPPORTUNITY- This role is intended for a high potential accounting professional. Within one to two years, a successful Senior Accountant will be positioned to advance into an Accounting Manager role as the team grows.
- Compensation: $85,000-$110,000
RESPONSIBILITIES- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for assigned areas, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
- Partner with FP&A and operational leaders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Support external audit requests, including preparation of schedules and documentation, and serve as a point of contact for auditors on assigned areas.
- Review and mentor staff accountant work product, providing technical guidance and feedback.
- Identify and drive process improvements to increase the accuracy and efficiency of the close and reporting cycle.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls across assigned accounting functions.
- Research and document technical accounting positions as new transactions or standards arise.
- Assist with special projects and analysis as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience. Prior public accounting experience, including audit, is strongly preferred.
- CPA license or active pursuit of CPA licensure preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Experience with ERP and accounting systems preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross functionally and present financial information clearly.
