About the RoleAs a Senior Accountant at Loop, you will be instrumental in building and scaling our financial operations during a critical growth phase. You'll partner closely with our Controller to drive financial close efficiency, support acquisition integration, and establish best practices across for a consolidated company. Your work will directly impact financial decision-making and ensure accuracy as we grow.
You will own significant portions of our monthly and quarterly close, lead ERP optimization, and provide financial analysis to guide strategic planning. This is a high-visibility role reporting to the Controller.
This is an in-person role based in San Francisco, New York, or Chicago, with the expectation of being in the office 4+ days per week.
What You'll DoFinancial Reporting & Close Management- Manage and own portions of the monthly close including variance analysis
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reporting packages
- Lead general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, and accrual processes
- Generate timely analyses, reports, and presentations for executives and board stakeholders
- Support forecasting and budgeting cycles with historical analysis and modeling
ERP Operations & Optimization- Develop and maintain GL structure, account hierarchies, and subledger integrations
- Build and optimize close workflows and financial reporting automation
- Document and improve processes to reduce close cycle time and increase accuracy
Technical Accounting- Assist with technical accounting documentation and conclusions, including ASC606, ASC842, consolidations, and goodwill.
- Help drive and support the external audit
Day-to-Day Accounting- Execute transactional accounting: journal entries, account reconciliations, and subledger management
- Process and review month-end accruals (payroll, revenue, expenses, prepaid amortization)
- Manage intercompany accounting and ensure proper elimination treatment
About YouRequired Experience- 3-6 years of relevant, applied accounting experience (Big 4, tech or start-ups)
- Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or comparable mid-market ERP platform
- Proven experience in monthly/quarterly financial reporting and close processes
- Strong general ledger, subledger, and reconciliation expertise
- Advanced Excel and Data Analysis skills
- Experience with financial analysis, variance commentary, and management reporting
- Detail-oriented with strong audit readiness mindset
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- Experience in SaaS, fintech
- Experience building workflows with AI
- Post-acquisition integration or consolidation accounting experience
- Exposure to revenue recognition standards (ASC 606) or other complex accounting areas
- Experience building or improving accounting processes in growing organizations
Compensation and BenefitsThe base pay range for this role is $135,000 - $160,000 annually, with location-specific target compensation of up to $150,000 in Chicago, and $160,000 in New York and San Francisco. This range reflects the base pay that Loop reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of hire. Actual compensation will depend on job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, location, and business needs.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for equity. This role is also eligible for Loop's benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, paid holidays, and parental leave.
