The Role:The Senior Accountant will play a key role within DailyPay's Accounting team, working across the broader organization to support the Director of Accounting and senior management. This individual prepares critical financial documentation, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives process improvements to enhance the month-end close. As a dynamic leader, the Senior Accountant mentors junior team members and builds cross-functional relationships to support the company's mission of transforming the way people get paid.
How You Will Make an Impact- Financial Reporting: Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses as a part of the month-end close process.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all financial activities remain in compliance with US GAAP standards and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Audit Support: Work with internal and external audit teams to provide necessary support and reviews in a timely manner.
- Process Improvement: Identify, propose, and drive efficiency improvements for the month-end close and other accounting processes.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships both within the Finance team and cross-functionally.
- Team Mentorship: Provide ongoing mentorship and professional guidance to junior team members.
- Filings & Statements: Manage the preparation and reviewing of financial statements and other corporate filings.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Perform specialized assignments and support the broader organization on an as-needed basis.
What You Bring to the Team- Experience: 4+ years of professional Accounting experience.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, or finance (advanced degree a plus).
- Certification: Relevant professional qualifications, such as a CPA.
- Ownership: An ownership mindset with a high degree of accountability and the ability to work independently.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work effectively within a team.
- Project Management: Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
