Senior Accountant Position Summary:- Full time salaried position
- Onsite based out of our Chelsea, MA location
The Senior Accountant is responsible for working closely with the Finance team to ensure a smooth, timely month-end close process. This individual provides assistance with SOX compliance and is involved in the annual budgeting process.
The Role:- Performs and assists with month-end and quarter-end closing accounting tasks including preparation/input of journal entries ensuring compliance with US GAAP
- Ensures that reconciliations and supporting schedules and analysis are completed on a timely basis and in accordance with the monthly closing schedule
- Prepares and maintains month-end closing shared folders
- Preparation and assistance with month-end analytical review of actuals versus budget/forecast
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Provides assistance with SOX compliance by ensuring internal controls are adhered to
- Provides assistance to Sr. Manager Financial Operations and Accounting on quarter-end inventory close and various analyses
- Other duties as assigned
The Candidate:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required
- Minimum four years of experience and with solid understanding of GAAP, required
- Experience in public accounting, preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient in MS Office Suite, and experience with general ledger systems
- Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
The anticipated salary range for this position in Massachusetts is $89,000 - $122,000, plus bonus, when eligible. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
