About the Role:We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team and play a key role in managing daily operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting, you will oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including month-end close activities, and serve as a primary point of contact for employee, vendor, and third-party inquiries. You will also support new accounting system integrations and contribute to growth initiatives from an accounting compliance perspective.
The ideal candidate possesses strong accounting expertise, excellent communication skills, and 5+ years of progressive experience, with proficiency in tools like NetSuite and Ramp.
Primary Responsibilities:- Support the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Work on monthly journal entries for fair market value of Digital Assets and Fund Investments for month-close
- Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate accruals, month-end close activities, and financial reporting related schedules
- Manage bank reconciliations and other balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies, if any
- Support audits (external and internal), including preparation of schedules and responding to auditor requests
- Liaise with tax consultants for periodic federal, state tax and VAT payments
- Support preparation of monthly recharges and invoicing to subsidiaries
- Support special projects and evolving business needs as requested (e.g., occasional assistance with general ledger schedule preparation and maintenance, including accruals, prepaids, and statutory liability schedules like 401(k) and taxes)
- Provide support during financial audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and other such related tasks along with timely responses to audit queries
- Work closely with global accounting teams for accounting or related tasks
Role Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of Accounting / Finance experience supporting month- and quarter-end close activities, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Excellent communication skills and timely responsiveness
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks
- Familiarity with accounting software or willingness to learn (e.g., NetSuite, Ramp)
- Basic Excel or spreadsheet skills
- Flexible hours, with occasional Eastern Time (EST) overlap a few days a week (notice given in advance)
- Experience in financial services, asset management, or fintech/crypto is a plus
- Exposure to system implementations or process automation is a plus
- Experience working in a high-growth or startup environment is a plus
