What You'll Do As a Senior Accountant, you will take the lead on business accounting engagements, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of all work products. You will serve as a trusted technical resource for the team, applying your advanced accounting and tax knowledge to resolve challenges, guide decision-making, and uphold firm standards. You will also play a key role in strengthening internal processes, enhancing workflow efficiency, and contributing to leadership initiatives that drive continuous improvement across the firm.
- Perform and oversee client accounting matters, month-end and year-end close processes, payroll and other business reporting areas, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Support the preparation of individual and business tax returns across a variety of entity types.
- Lead GAAP and tax research on issues and apply findings to client-specific situations.
- Serve as a trusted accounting advisor for business clients, acting as a primary point of contact for questions and issues.
- Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements that benefit client operations and financial outcomes.
- Communicate accounting and tax matters in a clear, professional, and client-friendly manner. Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to strengthen team skills and capabilities.
- Ensure the team's adherence to firm standards, policies, and deadlines.
- Assist with the onboarding and training of new team members to support smooth integration into the firm.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance accounting workflows for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Contribute to developing documentation, standardized procedures, and best practices.
- Support leadership on special projects and firm-wide initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
- QuickBooks ProAdvisor
- CPA Preferred
- Strong, up-to-date technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency with accounting and tax software, along with the ability to learn new platforms quickly

Compensation Range
$95,000-$110,000 USD
