Full Job Description
THE OPPORTUNITY:
TechInsights is building out a strategically important growth segment, and we're looking for a Semiconductor Materials Segment Leader to own it end to end. This is a general manager role for our Materials customer segment, with direct responsibility for segment strategy, ARR growth, product development, market expansion, and pricing and packaging strategy.
You'll sit at the intersection of strategy and execution: spotting where TechInsights can create differentiated value, turning those opportunities into products and go-to-market plans, and driving measurable growth. You'll work closely with our Sales, Marketing, Product, and Product Marketing teams, while building senior relationships with customers and market leaders. It's a role built for someone who combines structured strategic thinking with a strong bias to action, and who wants to see decisions move quickly from analysis to commercial results.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own the Materials segment strategy and growth plan, including ARR targets, forecasting, quarterly business reviews, and the initiatives needed to deliver profitable growth
  • Develop pricing, packaging, and commercial models for the segment, using customer value, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence to grow ARR and customer lifetime value
  • Build a fact-based view of the market: segment the opportunity, identify high-value customer targets, assess competitive positioning, and translate insight into clear commercial priorities
  • Build growth plans for priority strategic accounts and identify high-value new-logo targets, working with Sales to turn priorities into account plans and revenue opportunities
  • Lead strategic customer and market engagement, building trusted relationships with senior executives and practitioners to understand emerging needs and create new opportunities
  • Partner with Marketing and business development teams on demand-generation programs that improve conversion from contact to meeting to active user to revenue
  • Define how TechInsights' existing content, data, and analysis can be combined into differentiated products for the Materials segment, from business case through MVP, launch, and scale
  • Shape content and product roadmap priorities with our Product and Research teams, based on strategic relevance, customer demand, and commercial impact
  • Identify inorganic growth opportunities, including potential acquisitions and partnerships, and help build the strategic rationale and business case
  • Create the segment narrative, positioning, and sales enablement needed to bring new and existing offers successfully to market

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • 8-12+ years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, product strategy, commercial leadership, or business development, with experience solving complex problems and engaging senior executives
  • Experience in a top-tier strategy consulting environment is strongly valued, particularly leading major client engagements and growth strategy work
  • Semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, materials, chemicals, or adjacent technology experience is preferred; direct materials experience is valuable but not essential for the right candidate
  • Strong understanding of technology markets, customer economics, and value chains; familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and materials is a significant advantage
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MS, PhD, or other advanced degree is an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems, synthesize complex information, and drive fact-based recommendations to executive decisions
  • A track record of moving from strategy to execution, mobilizing cross-functional teams to deliver measurable commercial or operational outcomes
  • Experience developing or commercializing new products, services, or growth initiatives, ideally in B2B information, SaaS, research, or technology
  • Strong executive communication and client-development skills, with the ability to build credibility quickly and influence without direct authority
  • Strong quantitative skills, including market sizing, business cases, pricing, and customer economics

As part of the recruitment process for this position, you will be required to submit your latest citizenship and/or permanent residency information. This information will be used to comply with U.S. Export Control Laws and Regulations.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

This is a full-time position based in our Denver office in Greenwood Village, with regular travel of approximately 10-20% for customer meetings, industry conferences, and internal team collaboration.
