Segment Manager for the project in
Fresno, CADESCRIPTION : - Assist the Project Executive in management of the project through oversight of a segment of the 30- mile Project.
- Liaise with owner representatives, project staff, subcontractors and A/E contacts, to facilitate construction activities within the assigned Project segment.
- Fully understand and manage construction of assigned segment in accordance with all plans and specifications
- Monitor/control construction of assigned segment through administrative direction of on-site Superintendents to ensure project is built safely, meeting all quality standards, on schedule and within budget
- Identify potential construction issues, evaluate and implement best value solutions to facilitate uninterrupted construction
- Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
- Represent company in project meetings, assist in strategy meetings, etc.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with owner.
REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or similar
- 5 or more years of experience as a Project Manager on heavy civil projects
- 15 or more years of construction experience
- Previous experience in construction of rail projects
