BAE Systems is seeking a passionate and driven Operational Security Specialist to join our rapidly expanding security team in the vibrant Southern New Hampshire area! Although based in New Hampshire, this role will have the unique opportunity to travel within the Continental United Stated (CONUS) and Outside of the Continental United Stated (OCONUS) during programmatic test events.

As an Operational Security Specialist, you'll collaborate with leaders across the organization and build key relationships with internal and external customers to ensure that both classified assets and personnel are safe and secure without compromise while balancing mission needs with support from Program Managers and Program Security Officers.

Because this role relies on regular in-person collaboration and includes responsibilities that are only supported onsite, it is expected to be performed primarily at a BAE Systems facility with travel as required to test event locations.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensure adherence to government and company security policies, providing expert guidance and direction to program teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for US Government Program Security Officers on transportation plans and field test events.
  • Participate in, and lead, pre-test event site surveys as government directed.
  • Attend planning meetings that pertain to test events or transportation of classified assets.
  • Author, implement, and maintain comprehensive program-level security test plans, procedures, and instructions.
  • Serve as a classified materials courier in support of test events both within the United States, and OCONUS
  • Contribute to a holistic security posture by supporting program CSSOs in the developmental stages of test planning.


Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant security experience, or 9 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Deep understanding and practical application of U.S. Government security standards, DoD SAP Manuals, DoD SCI Manuals, and ICD/ICS series directives and standards.
  • Experience with providing government security support for operational field test events.
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with program managers and maintain strong working relationships with US Government Program Security Officers.
  • Highly proficient in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to clearly and concisely present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • A current US Passport to support travel OCONUS, or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire.


Preferred Skills and Education

  • Demonstrated mastery of creating test plans and providing security support to field test events.
  • Proven ability to navigate and ensure security compliance within complex, multi-level secure environments in challenging, non-standard situations.
  • Ability to independently identify, assess, and resolve unique security challenges with creative solutions that support testing performance while maintaining government security protocols.
  • Prior overseas operational testing or military coordination experience.
  • Prior experience as a SAP/SCI Accountability Officer.
