Full Job Description
Join BAE Systems' award-winning security team at Aerospace & Mission Systems (AMS) as a Regional Security Principle. Reporting to the Manager of Physical Security Systems & Infrastructure, this role provides critical operational leadership and oversight for the installation, service, and maintenance of physical security infrastructure across a designated geographic region. The Regional Security Principal ensures that all physical security technologies including access control (ACS), intrusion detection (IDS), and video management systems (VMS), are fully operational, compliant, and scalable to meet the needs of the business.
The Regional Security Principle serves as the primary coordinator for security infrastructure, ensuring strict adherence to UL 2050 standards and meeting rigorous service response requirements. Beyond technical oversight, this role is responsible for the implementation and operability of emergency and crisis response equipment, such as radio communications, and plays a pivotal role in delivering emergency response training for incidents where the Security function serves as the Incident Commander.
A champion of a proactive and preventative "safe & secure" culture, the Regional Security Principle ensures total compliance with internal physical security policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). By collecting and analyzing security business intelligence, the Regional Security Principle will drive data-driven decision-making and implement improved workflows to enhance the experience and safety of BAE Systems employees and contractors.
As a Regional Security Principle, you will own the operational excellence and compliance of physical security infrastructure within your assigned region, acting as the bridge between strategic management and tactical execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Oversight: Coordinate the installation, service, and preventative maintenance of regional physical security systems, including Access Control Systems (ACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Video Management Systems (VMS).
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all regional installations and maintenance activities comply with UL 2050 standards, contractual requirements, and internal BAE Systems physical security policies and SOPs.
Emergency Readiness: Support the deployment and operational readiness of crisis response equipment (e.g., radios) and lead the delivery of emergency response training for security-led Incident Command scenarios.
Service Management: Monitor and enforce service response requirements for vendors and technicians to minimize system downtime and mitigate security risks.
Culture Leadership: Champion a proactive, preventative safety and security culture across all regional sites, fostering an environment of vigilance and compliance.
Business Intelligence: Collect and analyze security-related data and metrics to identify trends, drive data-driven business decisions, and justify infrastructure investments.
Process Improvement: Develop and implement improved workflows and efficiencies to enhance the delivery of security services to employees and contractors (the primary customers).
Vendor Coordination: Act as the primary regional point of contact for security integrators and service providers, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to company standards.
Reporting: Provide regular operational updates and data-driven reports to the Physical Security Manager regarding regional system health and compliance status.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. Additionally, this position may have the reponsibility of supervising people.

• Proven track record of managing vendor service level agreements (SLAs) and response requirements.
• Strong understanding of physical security standards and the ability to enforce strict compliance protocols.
