Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Security Architect II Designing, planning, and delivering security solutions for large enterprise customers. Leading the planning, installation and integration of our products in diverse environments using automation and configuration tools. Working with customers throughout project life-cycle, deploying and configuring state of the art Micro-Segmentation and Security platforms. Delivering advanced professional services such as training, expansions, configurations and optimizations. Training our customers and stakeholders on our products to ensure they gain maximum value from our solutions. Liaising with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues in a timely manner and drive customer post-sales satisfaction. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States. [AG1534]

Required Qualification:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Networks, Information Systems, or IT, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role.
Must have: Two (2) years of experience in the following: Web application & API security; bot detection & mitigation tuning; application hardening; DNS security & management; rate limiting, token validation, schema enforcement, and client behavior analysis; SIEM Integration; Splunk & Microsoft Sentinel for threat monitoring; Prolexic Routed & Proxy; DDoS attack mitigation including zero-day threats; Observability Tools such as Traffic Peak & Datastream 2 for anomaly detection & performance monitoring; CI/CD Pipeline Integration; Security Compliance & Standards such as OWASP, PCI-DSS security configuration walkthroughs; and AI Application Security.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Networks, Information Systems, or IT, plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role.
Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $179130-$181300 /year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
