We're looking for a
Security Analyst for a
hybrid role in
North Charleston, SC.
The first 4-6 weeks will be onsite for training. The hybrid schedule will begin after training and will be 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Skills & Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience as a network security analyst or in a related area
- Must have:
- Advanced proficiency in computer network administration
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical implementation projects
- Demonstrated ability to perform forensic analysis and determine the root cause of the problem
- Well-developed communication skills using courtesy and discretion
- Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and respond to IT help desk requests adhering to the IT service-level agreement standards
- Maintain knowledge of current security best practices and work with the organization to implement those that will protect data and maintain its security environment
- Ensure company procedures and activities comply with all regulatory requirements and internal policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards
- Conduct assessments, audits, and testing of company systems
- Provide recommendations and overall enterprise technical security management
- Develop recommendations for standardized information security practices, policies, and procedures
- Perform analysis of network security needs and contribute to design, integration, and installation of hardware and software
- Evaluate product and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness of information security across the company
- Perform day-to-day operations of the in-place security solutions and implementation of new security solutions
- Work with other areas of the organization and IT to develop mitigation plans and remediate issues when necessary
- Troubleshoot network access problems that point to potential security violations
- Develop and help implement network security policies and procedures
- Identify, report, and resolve security violations
- Work with internal and external auditors/examiners to ensure the timely completion of security reviews and that remediation steps are taken in response to any findings
- Provide data security training to employees, management, and volunteers
- Monitor systems for alerts that might indicate a security incident or violation
- Collaborate with vendors, colleagues, management and agencies to detect and halt security issues that pose a threat to the credit union and its membership
- Monitor and respond to system-generated events (alerts) in adherence to the event management guidelines
- Adhere to the change management guidelines and processes
Education: - Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Information Security, Information Technology, or a similar or related field or equivalent work experience
- Security+ and/or CISSP certification (or similar security certification)
- Additional specialized security certifications, such as CISA, CISM, etc.
The salary range for this position is $131,000 - $168,500.
