Job Title: SECTION MANAGER - SG31Requisition Summary: The role of Materials Section Manager is to drive for results through Lean Manufacturing principles including the application of Six Sigma tools and managing projects within their team. Process improvements are required in the following areas, but not limited to: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Costs, Environmental and the Morale of the team. The scope of responsibility includes 5-10 Direct Reports and up to 15 non-direct reports.
Job Functions / Responsibilities:- Creates, executes, analyzes and monitors Supply Chain reports for customer data, supplier data, internal processing data, and other reports as required by the business.
- Maintains and monitors system data and transactions to support internal and external processes.
- Manages and sometimes executes documentation processes including but not limited to obtaining, compiling, maintaining and issuing necessary records, reports, and data or lists, ensuring accuracy of content and correct distribution.
- Oversees all processes related to perpetual inventory control, accuracy and reporting.
- Collaborates with other departments, divisions, or applicants to exchange information as necessary.
- Drives results through analytics, lean processes, and data-driven metrics and KPIs.
- Creates and maintains documentation for standard operations using Six Sigma tools.
- Manages and supports special projects as needed.
- Supports and develops teams and individual's skillsets.
- Promotes and adheres to all PACCAR Safety Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- At least three (3) years of SAP experience required.
- Demonstrated Knowledge of Six-Sigma, Kaizen, and/or Continuous Improvement Concepts required.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, and Inventory Control.
- Ability to work flexible work schedule.
- Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and evaluate complex situations to recommend sound action plans.
- Must be self-motivated, well organized, flexible, and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation.
- Must be able to operate independently and with little guidance.
