Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

We are seeking a SEC Manager to join our Corporate Accounting team. This position is intended for the new Cloud and Power focused U.S. public company that will be established through the upcoming spin-off of the existing Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment of Flex Ltd. This is a unique opportunity to join during the company's formative stage and help shape the processes, culture, and capabilities that will support its long-term success.

This position is based in Austin, Texas.

What a typical day looks like:
  • All aspects, including preparation, accurate reporting, and filing of SEC reports for a publicly traded company, including Forms 10K, 10Q, 8K. Ensure filings are complete and filed timely.
  • Remain current on new pronouncements and technical accounting issues. Analyze, research, and conclude new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards issued by the SEC and FASB and prepare memorandums summarizing the impact on the Company and corporate accounting policy. Incorporate/modify disclosures arising from new pronouncements.
  • Liaison with finance and accounting department, internal legal counsel and external independent auditors.
  • Partner with the SOX program and global accounting teams to maintain SOX compliance over SEC reporting.
  • Develop and maintain global accounting policies and manage complex accounting areas, including equity, stock-based compensation, EPS, and goodwill, providing technical assessments of non-standard transactions and research as needed; lead or support special projects.
  • Manage and develop a direct report, providing exposure to external reporting and broader corporate accounting activities.


The experience we are looking to add to our team:
  • Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in a financial reporting/accounting role, including SEC reporting, at a public company or a public accounting firm.
  • Licensed CPA, or CPA exams passed.
  • Experience with OneStream and Workiva is preferred.
  • Deep technical knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and 10-K/10-Q filing mechanics, including iXBRL and Workiva.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP as applied to complex areas such as equity, stock-based compensation, EPS, and goodwill.
  • Working knowledge of SOX compliance processes and internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Ability to lead and develop teams, coordinate cross-functional and external stakeholders, and drive processes efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
