The RoleWe're looking for an experienced Search Lead to join our growing marketing team. You'll own the strategy and day-to-day execution of our paid search program, translating high-level growth goals into world-class campaigns that drive qualified leads and new members. As Search Lead, you'll partner closely with the marketing, planning, and analytics teams to build and optimize the paid search campaigns that fuel Facet's growth.
In this role, you'll manage campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads - including Search and Performance Max - while owning conversion tracking, attribution, and reporting so every dollar of spend is working as hard as possible. You'll lead keyword and search-term audits, build exclusion strategies to protect budget from low-quality traffic, and design tests that continually improve performance. You'll also be a hands-on mentor, training and coaching teammates so the whole team executes flawlessly.

What You'll Do- Partner with senior marketing leadership to translate growth strategy into paid search campaign plans, and own execution across Google Ads (Search, Performance Max) and Microsoft Ads, plus emerging paid media channels.
- Lead keyword, search-term, and negative keyword audits across the account, building and maintaining exclusion strategies to protect budget as spend scales.
- Optimize tCPA and tROAS bidding strategies with a strong understanding of bidding mechanics and signal quality.
- Use Google Ads Editor, Microsoft Ads Editor, scripts, or APIs to make and audit bulk account changes.
- Build and own a testing roadmap for landing page design and cohesion, alongside ad creative and bidding strategy tests, to continually increase conversion rates across search campaigns.
- Own campaign, budget, and performance reporting; deliver clear, timely analysis and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Serve as a liaison between search and other marketing channels to support a cohesive, multi-channel strategy.
Requirements- 5+ years of hands-on paid search experience, ideally within an agency environment managing multiple accounts.
- Deep expertise in Google Ads, including Search, Performance Max, and Smart Bidding.
- Experience with Google Ads Editor, scripts, or APIs for bulk campaign management.
- Strong experience troubleshooting conversion tracking, GA4, GTM, and attribution issues.
- Experience identifying and excluding fraudulent or low-quality traffic sources.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Basic management skills - setting expectations, training others, delegating tasks, and providing feedback.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail; dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications- 7+ years of Google Ads experience; Microsoft Ads and Meta experience a plus.
- Experience conducting in-depth campaign and pipeline analysis to inform strategy.
- Strong executive presence, with the ability to pitch and present recommendations confidently to senior stakeholders.
- Background in financial services or another regulated industry.
- Ability to multitask and handle other duties as assigned.
