Job SummaryThe Generalist, HR Business Partner will be responsible for assisting in/ leading all HR functions in alignment with business objectives at the station level. This role will provide or assist with strategic, tactical, and operational support to field management teams with human resources generalist activities. Assist and manage day-to-day activities associated with employee/ labor relations, performance management, staffing, turnover and retention, terminations, employee records, legal compliance, compensation, recognition and benefits administration. Assist/serve as a business partner and advisor to line management on complex employee issues. This role will assist in promoting positive relations between the associates and station management at Swissport that aligns with the company's philosophy, overall strategy, federal, state and local law. This role will assist in mitigating risks for Swissport collectively and independently in designated station(s). This role will work independently and collectively under the direction of more senior HR professionals by role modeling and demonstrating the company's core values of people, professionalism and partnership as a way we conduct business and ourselvesThe expected pay rate is $80,000 - $85,000/year. Supervisor Responsibilities

The Generalist, HR Business Partner may have direct reporting relationship and supervisory responsibilities of HR associates within the designated station. Direct reports can range from 0-3 aligning to the station associate headcount corporate model.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist and manage day-to-day station HR activities and counsel to employees, supervisors, and managers regarding all HR best practices, policy interpretation, policies, HR compliance and appropriate workplace conduct.
  • Assist and serve as the liaison within assigned station(s) between corporate HR and frontline associates and management, being the first point of contact at station level for questions regarding legal and/or policies and procedures.
  • Assist and serve as the liaison between associates, field management and corporate human resources
  • Maintain records and compile/ disseminate statistical reports concerning employment-related data such as hires, terminations, performance reviews, unemployment claims and turnover and make recommendations for improved performance on all metrics.
  • Ensure consistent application of all Swissport policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local law.
  • Comply with external audits from regulatory agencies (Aviation Department, US Customs, TSA, and FAA)
  • Comply with Department of Homeland Security rules and regulations doing internal audits to keep records up to date
  • Responsible to maintain records of employee uniforms (ordering, inventory and distribution)
  • Conduct internal investigations and process unemployment claims
  • Assist in/ Conduct investigations for policy violations, mediation hearings, and prepares responses to Human Rights Commission, DOL and EEOC claims
  • Responsible for assisting in or preparing daily/weekly/monthly reports and conducting HR training as needed
  • Serve on special project teams as assigned
  • Comply with company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies.


Qualifications and Competencies
  • HR Management Certificate / Bachelor's Degree in related field/discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience with at least 1 year in a manager level role preferred
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and practices
  • Working knowledge of employee relations
  • Working knowledge of all areas of human resources
  • Basic knowledge of SharePoint and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to analyze long-term implications of business decisions
