Scheduler Staff (9692)

Summary
  • Develops, updates, and monitors plant integrated online and outage schedules for operations maintenance, engineering, modifications and projects to assure execution in a safe and cost efficient manner. Assesses critical path and near-critical activities reporting impacts to the Outage Management Team when working during outages. Schedules and monitors activities in a manner to assist management in assuring schedules are executed based on Shutdown Risk, Defense in Depth Concepts (during outages) and Probabilistic Risk Assessment (on-line). Fills in for Scheduling Supervisor for "Out of Office" occasions. Accepts all the duties and responsibilities of the position.
    Special Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.
  • Ability to proactively monitor and adjust scheduled activities. Ability to anticipate issues independent of outside direction. Ability to be flexible, self starting and organized in the face of rapidly changing priorities and job assignments.
  • Knowledge of company, station, department procedures and policies. Knowledge of plant systems sufficient to perform the optimal work sequence scheduling and bundling of activities. Ability to evaluate resource requirements versus resource availabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in a professional manner (both oral and written). Ability to facilitate meetings and provide schedule presentations to an audience that ranges from Craft personnel to Station Management.
  • Ability to critique and improve processes to promote operational and financial excellence by eliminating hidden waste through process analysis. Understand station and department performance indicators.
  • Ability to identify direct and indirect tasks necessary to successfully complete assigned projects. Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervisory direction, completing duties without continual task assignment or requests for assistance.
    Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Computer Science. (Preferred)
    Experience
  • 8 Years scheduling experience in plant operations, maintenance, health physics, chemical operations, scheduling or project management at a commercial operating nuclear power plant
  • Without preferred degree, 10 years scheduling experience in plant operations, maintenance, health physics, chemical operations, scheduling or project management at a commercial operating nuclear power plant
    License/Certifications
