Scheduler to support large-scale capital improvement programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules across design, construction, and design-build projects. This role requires strong expertise in Primavera P6, schedule analysis, and project controls within complex infrastructure environments.
Salary: $125,000 - $175,000 based on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities- Conduct Critical Path Method ("CPM") Schedule Management to support MTA's capital program and handle design, construction, and design build CPM schedules.
- Attend project kick-off meetings and discuss the schedule submissions and the CPM scheduling requirements.
- Prepare detailed CPM review comments of baseline schedules and recommendations, discuss with MTA project management teams, and issue review report of the baseline schedules.
- Facilitate planning sessions with project management teams, project team members, and multiple project stakeholders (e.g., agency owners, user departments, contractors) to identify work packages and tasks as well as execution logic.
- Create and maintain project and program schedules during all phases of capital projects.
- Complete summary and detailed reviews of baseline schedules, activity durations, logic ties, sequence of construction and phasing, resources and resource histograms, costs and cost curves and run schedule workshops.
- Review monthly CPM Updates and provide the following reports:
- Primavera schedule comparison reports including recommendations for improvement for schedule logic, duration changes and general schedule quality.
- Critical Path (Longest Path) and Float Path analysis of the monthly schedule updates.
- Reviews of the monthly schedule updates, highlight changes in logic ties, activity duration, calendars, any deviation in sequence of construction from the baseline schedule, added/deleted activities and provide comments, recommendations and schedule review reports.
- Earned Value ("EV") reports based on EV analysis.
- Monthly Time Delay reports, identifying the root cause of delays, and responsible parties, with recommendations for improvement.
- Attend design, construction, project progress and schedule meetings.
- Conduct periodic field visits for ongoing construction projects.
- Review Change Orders Frag-net schedules, perform delay claim and Time Impact Analysis, identify the root cause of the delay, the party responsible and provide recommendations.
- Create hypothetical scenario schedules to recommend and review recovery and mitigation schedules.
- Develop and provide a monthly update of Project Management Schedules, which capture the project delivery lifecycle with project team input.
- Assist in developing ad-hoc schedules and reports for in-house capital program projects.
- Offer risk analysis in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders to assess schedule risks and mitigation options.
- Develop subject matter training material and train schedulers, project controllers, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in CPM scheduling or project controls (infrastructure/public sector preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 required
• Strong understanding of CPM methodology, critical path analysis, and delay analysis
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Knowledge of construction sequencing, design-build delivery, and capital programs
• Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a complex project environment
