Scheduler

Location: Bronx, NY
Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site (5 Days per Week)
Salary: $125,000 annually

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Scheduler to manage and coordinate workforce scheduling operations for a large-scale hospitality and entertainment environment. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing employee schedules while ensuring operational coverage, labor compliance, and efficient resource allocation across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly staff schedules.
  • Coordinate staffing requirements with department managers and operational leaders.
  • Monitor coverage levels and proactively address scheduling gaps, call-outs, and shift changes.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, union requirements (if applicable), and company policies.
  • Analyze staffing trends and recommend schedule optimizations to improve efficiency and control labor costs.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and generate workforce reports as needed.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, and Operations teams to ensure schedule accuracy.
  • Utilize workforce management and scheduling software to manage staffing needs.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of scheduling, workforce planning, or related operations experience.
  • Experience supporting large, fast-paced environments such as hospitality, entertainment, gaming, healthcare, or retail operations.
  • Strong proficiency with scheduling and workforce management systems.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing complex schedules for 24/7 operations.
  • Knowledge of labor forecasting and workforce planning best practices.
  • Experience working in unionized environments is a plus.
