ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril's Manufacturing Automation team is seeking a SCADA focused Controls Engineer to join our Ignition Development team. The Manufacturing Automation team is responsible for the design, integration, and deployment of automated manufacturing systems across Anduril factories. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to help define what production automation looks like for Anduril at a national scale.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Design functional HMIs/SCADA screens, that are in line with Anduril internal branding standards using Ignition by Inductive Automation
  • Architect SCADA applications that are organized, structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable for high-volume manufacturing applications
  • Generate and enforce internal standards for SCADA systems
  • Integrate internal and external manufacturing software into automation equipment and production lines
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures, ensuring rapid resolution and long-term reliability
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot SCADA issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Must be willing to work off shift or irregular hours

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
  • Must be US security clearance eligible
  • Must be proficient in Ignition by Inductive Automation
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent and relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience in SCADA and MES applications
  • Strong understanding of communications protocols like Rest API, MQTT, AMQP, OPC UA, Modbus, BACnet

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge and understanding of PLC base control systems
  • Ignition Gold Certification
  • Proficient in higher level languages like Python and HTML


US Salary Range

$123,000-$171,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
