We are looking for a
SAP SME Lead to join our growing team in
the US (EST - Remote)! Location:
US - EST/CST - ideal: Chicago--About the Role: You will have to Bridge SAP business process knowledge and automation engineering, ensuring manual test cases are automation-ready before handover.Main Responsibilities:- Review manual test cases for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with current SAP configuration; flag outdated or conflicting cases.
- Validate that expected results/validation criteria are specific and testable, not vague.
- Identify and document data prerequisites (master, transactional, org/config) and confirm environment availability, including time-sensitive or shared/dependent data risks.
- Map system, authorization, and configuration prerequisites, plus upstream/downstream process and integration dependencies that affect test sequencing.
- Break manual steps into discrete, scriptable actions and clarify embedded business rules/decision logic (e.g., conditional paths) for automation logic.
- Confirm clear pass/fail and validation points per step, including backend checks where UI validation isn't sufficient, and flag high-variability steps (pop-ups, dynamic fields) that pose automation risk.
- Produce a standardized handover artifact per process: flow, prerequisites, test data, steps, and expected outcomes.
- Conduct walkthroughs/KT sessions with automation engineers and remain available for clarifying questions during script development.
- Review/demo completed scripts to confirm they faithfully represent the business process (functional sign-off).
- Support failure triage - distinguishing genuine defects from process, data, or script issues.
- Maintain a tracker of test case automation-readiness status (reviewed, in-progress, pending).
- Support with process questions, coordinating with client BPOs to get timely responses.

- The salary range for the role is $130,000 - $140,000.
