Full Job Description
The SAP Security Specialist I position supports the Physical Security (PHYSEC) posture of Special Access Programs (SAPs) by assisting senior security personnel in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of security measures that protect classified facilities, personnel, and assets. This role requires a foundational understanding of SAP Physical Security requirements, facility accreditation processes, and security principles governing classified environments.

Salary Range: $150k-$165k

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of PHYSEC requirements for SAP facilities and classified environments.
• Support the development and execution of PHYSEC plans and procedures for Special Access Programs.
• Assist with the creation, coordination, and maintenance of SAP Facility (SAPF) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) accreditation packages.
• Support physical security inspections, assessments, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to applicable security requirements.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of facility security documentation, including Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC), accreditation packages, Co-Utilization Agreements (CUAs), and related security records.
• Support access control, visitor control, key and lock management, intrusion detection systems, and other physical security measures.
• Maintain familiarity with Executive Order 13526, the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoDM 5205.07 SAP Security Manual, ICD 705 requirements, and other applicable physical security regulations.
• Assist in coordinating facility modifications, construction activities, and accreditation actions impacting classified spaces.
• Support security meetings, facility reviews, and customer engagements related to physical security requirements.
• Perform administrative duties related to PHYSEC operations, documentation management, and compliance tracking.
• Other duties as assigned in support of SAP PHYSEC operations.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 3 -5 years of related DoD, Intelligence Community (IC), or Physical Security (PHYSEC) experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current CI Polygraph required.
• Foundational knowledge of SAP and classified facility PHYSEC requirements.
• Familiarity with SCIF and SAPF accreditation processes and applicable security standards.
• Knowledge of access control systems, intrusion detection systems, visitor control procedures, and facility security operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and security documentation management.
Travel Requirements:
• Limited travel within the region.
