Job Title: SAP QM Functional Analyst

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced SAP professional to join our Digital Technology Quality team as an SAP QM Functional Analyst. This role is critical in driving our transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, designing, implementing, and supporting advanced Quality Management Systems (QMS).

We're looking for a candidate with deep SAP expertise, particularly in QM, who can design, build and troubleshoot complex RICEF objects, recommend strategic enhancements and deliver innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations. Collaboration is key! You'll work with cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and global partners to execute high-quality, integrated solutions using both waterfall and agile methodologies.

The position is remote. Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home), but might be required to travel based on business needs.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Design & Implementation: Perform technical and functional design to enable seamless migration and integration of Quality Management Systems (QMS) with enterprise applications.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders to define process enhancements, document requirements, and ensure alignment on vision, scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Project & Risk Management: Lead and support projects using Waterfall or Agile methodologies, managing key decisions, risks, actions, and dependencies while ensuring all projects follow predefined gated approval and sign-off processes for successful delivery.
  • Vendor & Cross-Functional Coordination: Manage third-party suppliers and collaborate with cross-functional teams within Pratt & Whitney and other RTX business units to deliver high-performing, integrated solutions.
  • System Optimization: Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance application performance, quality, and reliability, ensuring production applications meet service level expectations.
  • Required to attend and have participation in work group meetings, teleconferences and / or training.
  • Optimize efficiency and reduce waste using tools like value stream mapping, SIPOCs, and Control Towers.
  • Based on business needs the incumbent may be required to support other duties / functions within the company.

  • Proficiency with SAP Quality Management (ECC and S/4HANA), including configuration and integration with related modules like Material Master, Production Planning, and Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • Proven experience creating detailed functional and technical specifications to support solution design and implementation.
  • Hands-on experience in navigating complex SAP landscapes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to evaluate data, resolve conflicts, and apply business insights effectively.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams, senior management, and external partners to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Quick learner with the ability to understand and interpret diverse business processes.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship-building and teamwork.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and adapt to dynamic business environments.
  • Results-driven mindset with a commitment to achieving goals despite challenges.
  • Available and able to travel based on business needs within North America, 50% of the time.


Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Octave Reliance (ETQ), Net-Inspect, Solumina, Team Center, ServiceNow, Confluence, and/or Jira.
  • Experience with SAP integration across modules such as SD, MM, PP, and PM.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.
  • Knowledge of QM processes like inspection plans, quality notifications, results recording, and batch management.
  • Understanding of SAP Fiori apps and their use within QM processes.
  • Experience with SAP Quality Issue Management (QIM) or SAP Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) modules.
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies for project delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ABAP debugging or working closely with developers to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
  • Understanding of industry-specific quality standards and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100 for Aerospace).
  • Experience with cross-system integration involving SAP and third-party quality management tools.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with tools like SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Certifications in SAP QM or related modules.
  • Strong knowledge of data migration tools and methodologies specific to SAP QM.
