You are a confident, finance-minded leader who understands that billing and accounting are two halves of the same revenue process. You know that FI-CA is where a subscription, a royalty statement or an ad invoice becomes a receivable, a payment and a general ledger posting, and you know how to design it so that billed, collected and recognized revenue reconcile at scale. You translate client goals into clear, actionable designs that Finance, Revenue Operations and Technology can all get behind. The more complex the transaction volumes and partner structures, the more excited you are about leading the charge to solve them.
The Work:Team with clients on their SAP revenue, billing and accounting transformation programs through your combined SAP FI-CA expertise and functional process knowledge, which includes your ability to:
- Engage with client leaders across Finance, Revenue Accounting, Revenue Operations, Credit & Collections and Treasury on the challenges shaping receivables, cash and revenue in Media & Entertainment, and on the value of SAP FI-CA and the wider SAP BRIM suite (current and future)
- Lead the design of FI-CA as the receivables and payables subledger for subscription and partner-driven businesses, including business partner and contract account structures, document posting, account determination, clearing, reconciliation keys and general ledger transfer
- Design payment and collections processes for large consumer and business portfolios, including payment methods and payment service provider integration, payment runs and returns, automated payment retries and dunning, collection strategies, dispute handling, credits, refunds and write-offs
- Design the payables side of FI-CA for partner and content settlement, including revenue sharing, royalties, participations, agency commissions and payouts, with the tax and withholding considerations that come with them
- Define how Convergent Invoicing, FI-CA and Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) work together so that billed, unbilled, deferred and recognized revenue reconcile, taking account of IFRS 15 / ASC 606, contract changes, cancellations and credit memos
- Design the period-end close for the subledger, including reconciliation to the general ledger, receivables aging and reporting, accruals, allowances for credit losses and tax
- Plan and deliver FI-CA within the SAP S/4HANA digital core, including mass-activity performance at high volumes, migration of open items and balances, integration to CRM, CPQ, payment and ad-sales platforms, and cutover into a live subscriber base
- Deploy AI use cases within SAP delivery to improve efficiency, from accelerated design and configuration to automated testing, data migration and reconciliation
- Lead FI-CA workstreams and project teams of varying size and scope, onsite with clients or within Accenture, including teams working in a Global Delivery Model
- Own delivery quality and commercial outcomes for your workstream, including estimation, staffing plans, risk management and client satisfaction
