Position Description: SAP FI CO Consultant
Position mandate
You will help design and implement finance and controlling processes in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. You will translate business needs into standard processes, configuration, test scenarios and integrated operational solutions. You will help define financial structures, controls and processing rules, then support users as they validate results and prepare for operations.
Key responsibilities
. Facilitate discovery and fit to standard workshops for accounting and finance processes.
. Analyze general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, banking, period close and reporting processes.
. Design controlling structures and rules, including cost and profit centers, allocations and cost tracking as required by scope.
. Configure and document the solution in line with Public Edition capabilities and project architecture decisions.
. Prepare test scenarios, support integrated testing, analyze defects and help resolve them.
. Define financial data conversion and reconciliation needs; support go live readiness and stabilization.
. Validate accounting structures, posting rules, processing roles and controls needed for transactions and period close.
. Analyze periodic close, reconciliation, reporting and variance monitoring needs with finance stakeholders.
. Document migration rules for balances and financial data; coordinate reconciliations and resolve variances before validation testing.
. Review the financial impact of procurement, sales, production and project processes with the relevant consultants.
What you bring
. Experience implementing or enhancing SAP Finance and Controlling.
. Strong knowledge of financial accounting and close processes, with hands on experience across multiple FI/CO areas.
. Experience facilitating user workshops, writing functional specifications and validating solutions.
. Ability to assess end to end impacts and collaborate with SD, MM, PP, PS and data teams.
. Professional communication skills in both French and English, with a rigorous, independent and service oriented approach.
. Hands on experience across multiple FI or CO processes and the ability to explain impacts to finance teams.
. Careful approach to data validation, control documentation and tracking variances through resolution.
Assets
. Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and configuration through SAP Central Business Configuration.
. Experience with financial conversion, data reconciliation or close support.
. Experience preparing for period close, performing financial reconciliations or converting accounting data.
. Knowledge of management reporting, cost center accounting or financial controls in a complex organization.
Travel
Occasional travel to locations across Quebec is required, based on workshop needs, on site activities and the project schedule.
Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
