Full Job Description
Salesforce Architect - Full Time - Remote
Compensation: Budgeted between $121,400 and $155,000 dependent upon applicable experience.
Remote: Experity offers Team Members the opportunity to work remotely or in an office.
The Salesforce Architect enables Experity's vision by giving the business a quote-to-cash platform it can trust: what Sales quotes is what Implementation activates and what Finance bills, with no manual reconciliation in between.
By designing and building a simpler, scalable Salesforce foundation, this role turns commercial rules into system-enforced controls and lets every revenue team work from one accurate record of what each client bought.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the current org within the first 90 days and deliver a prioritized simplification plan with measurable targets, retiring legacy automation, fields and objects that no longer earn their place.
- Turn the existing high-level design into build-ready specifications (object model, external IDs, lifecycle state model) and document key decisions in a lasting decision log.
- Rebuild CPQ on Experity's newly defined product catalog, including bundles, option constraints, price rules, proration and amendment paths, so a deal cannot be quoted without its required components.
- Build the entitlement ledger and fulfillment gate that track purchased against consumed capacity and block activation of anything that was never sold, with an approved exception path and audit trail.
- Own the Salesforce side of the NetSuite integration, including field mapping, payload, error handling and reconciliation, in partnership with the NetSuite administrator and Celigo developer.
- Build the permission model and system-enforced governance controls (threshold approvals, post-close locking, audit logging), consistent with Experity's HIPAA and least-privilege requirements.
- Plan and deliver the rebuild end to end, including backlog, CI/CD and releases, data migration, UAT, hypercare and documentation, and report progress and risk to RevOps and Finance leadership.
- Evaluate long-term quoting platform options, including remaining on Salesforce CPQ or moving to Revenue Cloud Advanced, and design so a future platform change costs as little as possible.
- Set architecture standards and review the work of anyone building on the platform
- Other duties as assigned
Deliverables:
- An org health baseline and a signed target-state design within the first 90 days.
- CPQ that will not allow a deal to be quoted without its required components.
- An entitlement ledger and fulfillment gate in production that block unsold activations, with a working exception path.
- A billing feed to NetSuite that reconciles to zero unmatched records at month-end close.
- Simplification targets met, and a platform that is documented, in source control and supportable in-house.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Eight years building on Salesforce, including three years as lead architect with hands-on build responsibility.
- End-to-end delivery of at least one quote-to-cash implementation or major re-implementation through go-live and hypercare, ideally in an org with significant technical debt.
- Deep, hands on Salesforce CPQ experience, plus strong Flow, Apex, and declarative configuration skills.
- Quote-to-cash integration with an ERP, ideally NetSuite, through an iPaaS such as Celigo, MuleSoft, or Boomi.
- Security and sharing architecture, data migration, and modern release management (source control, CI/CD, sandbox strategy)
- Self-directed delivery and clear writing: plans own work, manages scope, and produces specifications business leaders can sign.
Preferred:
- Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, or CTA-track certifications; CPQ or Revenue Cloud credentials.
- Hands-on Revenue Cloud Advanced experience or a CPQ-to-Revenue Cloud migration.
- Subscription, usage or capacity-based billing models in multi-locations B2B SaaS.
- Healthcare or other regulated-industry SaaS experience (HIPPA, SOC 2)
- Experience designing Salesforce for AI and automation - such as Agentforce or Data Cloud.
Travel:
- Ability to travel as needed.
