Job Purpose

EnerSys is looking for a driven and results-oriented Technical Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for selling the trusted products and services our customersrely on. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling atgenerating leads, relationship building, and deal closing. We seek a motivated go-getter with excellentnegotiation skills and the ability to effectively showcase our offerings to drive business growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consistently exceed sales quotas by retaining, growing, and prospecting clients within an assigned territory.
  • Leverage product knowledge and customer insights to develop unique value propositions supported by financialimpact analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Manage customer relationships and sales activities using Salesforce CRM.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote products and stay informed on market trends.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment between customer needs andproduct offerings.
  • Stay up-to-date with new products, services, and business processes through continuous learning and self-education.
  • Prepare proposals, pricing structures, presentations, and sales forecasts while managing sales programseffectively.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in handling critical business matters.
  • Identify key customer stakeholders, build strong relationships, and drive consensus for deal success.
  • Strategize independently and collaboratively to overcome deal-level challenges.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications.
  • 2-5 years of sales experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong ability to read, comprehend, and interpret manuals, procedures, and other business documents inEnglish.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record and minimal traffic violations.
  • Must be 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.
  • Willing and able to travel 80% of the time within designated territory.
  • Willing to travel overnight (5-8 days per year) for training and sales meetings.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in technical sales, particularly within the battery or energy storage industry.
  • Proven track record of success selling advanced battery chemistries or related technical products.


General Job Requirements
  • This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company's driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific drivers license and have additional driving requirements.
  • Risk of electrical shock.
  • Must be able and willing to do overnight travel
  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
