Position summary:
This role reports to the co-founder and has one primary goal: to drive our commercial plan across wholesale, taproom and brand, on time and in full, every week. You'll execute against a clear strategy, pricing framework and set of targets, and bring ideas on how to get there faster. It takes a direction and turns it into finished work, personally building, briefing and delivering it, and pulling in designers, agencies and internal teams as needed. For example, on a new piece of merchandise, this person pulls together the options, makes a recommendation, then runs it through to production and launch. This is a people-facing doer's seat, not a strategist's or a dashboard builder's: the strength we're hiring for is rolling up sleeves and getting things done across multiple workstreams, keeping the numbers honest week to week and driving the sales number.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Hands-on delivery of the commercial plan: take a direction and drive it end to end, from brief to finished, doing some of the work yourself, and working with designers, agencies and internal teams to get it done
- Wholesale: personally build and deliver what the wholesale plan needs (decks, key-account follow-up, distributor and retail execution), and step in on the close
- Brand and marketing: land releases, events, campaigns and offerings on time and in full, writing the briefs and doing the work yourself where needed, with the internal teams and agencies alongside you; ensure the brand shows up consistently across every channel and drives consumer and wholesale sales
- Drive business to the taprooms: build demand, traffic and reasons to visit; drive the topline while the GMs run the taprooms and own the bottom line
- Run the sales cadence: drive the wholesale topline and the business driven to the taprooms; run the weekly scorecard, keeping the forecast and run-rates current and surfacing misses early with a fix
- Drive private events and merch: drive private events leads and bookings, and facilitate the merchandise portfolio offering and its related revenues, in partnership with the taprooms
- Manage agencies and contractors: keep our outside partners on brief, on time and on budget
- Partner with the sales and marketing teams on clear weekly priorities; run the weekly sales and marketing huddle
The successful applicant will partner closely with our sales and marketing team. The role will also be the key point of contact for our agencies and contractors. This is an in-person role in Ballard, with some business travel, taproom visits and occasional weekend events.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in sales or marketing, including programs or projects
- Proven track record running multiple parallel workstreams and personally driving projects from brief to finished result across multiple departments - project or program management experience (formal PM training/certification a plus, not required)
- Self-directed: takes a direction and turns it into a plan, tasks, owners and dates, without needing a task list handed to them
- Experience driving projects with multiple departments simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and comfortable running a weekly scorecard and forecast
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred
- Comfort working in a CRM or sales tool, and pulling insight out of data to inform decisions
- Experience in beer, bev-alc distribution (three-tier) or CPG preferred

In addition to these minimum requirements, we expect the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
