Senior Account Manager
Non-Automotive and Automotive Aftermarket
Basic Function:
The Senior Account Manager works for the Sales Manager and has commercial responsibility for multiple customers. This may include customers in the following market segments; Powersports, Construction / Agriculture, Aerospace and/or Automotive Aftermarket.
The Senior Account Manager is responsible for the daily maintenance of the Accounts. Works with Engineering and Manufacturing Operations to create and implement strategies for maximizing current business and obtaining new business. The Senior Account Manager takes a leadership role in coordination of new business opportunities and quotations.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Represents the business unit to our customers in a highly professional and ethical manner, promoting product leadership in component and systems technology.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with key personnel at multiple levels of the designated customer organization.
- Utilize these relationships to:
- Identify and define new opportunities.
- Amicably negotiate ongoing business issues to the benefit of the business unit.
- Establish long-range plan for volume and sales revenue at assigned customer.
- Articulates a clear understanding of our market share, competitive position and profitability at each assigned account.
- Understand, track and communicate the business unit’s competitive position at the designated customer.
- Responsible for communicating and supporting major customer initiatives and concerns.
- Leads the major quotes for new program awards.
- Develops (with input from cross-functional teams) and deploys comprehensive customer and pricing strategies that are market driven and improve the profitability and growth of the business unit.

Ensures employees, visitors, and contractors (including subcontractors), at BorgWarner, adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner Safety Policy.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business required
- 10+ years’ experience in sales or engineering with significant customer contact.
- Product (Friction, OWC, SVC) and Market knowledge experience preferred.

$125,600 - $172,700
