Sales Manager, Education

In this role, you will manage a team of quota-carrying Account Executives focused on both new customer acquisition and expansion within existing accounts across educational institutions. Your day-to-day includes business planning, pipeline coaching, forecasting, and driving process improvements that keep your team performing at its best. You will partner with product specialists and channel organizations to deliver tailored AI, UCaaS, voice, and contact center solutions, reporting to the Head of U.S. SLED.

Zoom's SLED Sales team drives meaningful technology adoption across government and education, helping institutions modernize how they communicate and collaborate. Our team covers a broad multi-state territory, working closely with channel organizations and product specialists to deliver solutions that meet the specific procurement and compliance needs of public sector clients. We are a collaborative, growth-oriented group that believes better communication tools can genuinely transform the way public institutions serve their communities.

• Lead a team of Account Executives to qualify leads, identify prospect needs, and engage technical resources to drive pipeline velocity across education accounts.
• Coach, develop, and mentor team members to build a high-performing sales culture, ensuring consistent quota attainment and continuous individual growth.
• Engage C-level and VP-level executives within educational institutions, applying consultative selling techniques to address complex business needs and drive deals to close.
• Develop and grow business within existing accounts while executing targeted campaigns to acquire new customers through upsell and cross-sell motions.
• Deliver accurate sales forecasts and strategic business planning to senior leadership, identifying trending opportunities and recommending solutions to address emerging challenges.
• Maintain and update CRM with timely activity tracking, pipeline status, and account intelligence to support data-driven decision-making.
• Stay current on Zoom's product portfolio, competitive landscape, and industry trends to equip your team with the knowledge needed to win in the public sector.

• 8+ years of software or technology sales experience, with demonstrated expertise selling into Education accounts.
• Proven success leading and developing a high-performing sales team, including a track record of building talent and coaching reps to consistent quota attainment.
• Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments, including direct engagement with C-level and VP-level decision makers.
• Track record of success in a high-velocity, transactional sales environment with the ability to manage both volume and strategic deal cycles simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships and act as a trusted partner across all levels of an organization.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with CRM tools and a disciplined approach to pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
