$95k - $115k* CAD Base Salary + $50k Variable (Uncapped)

The Position

Reporting to the CEO, the Sales Manager, Canada will lead Intellijoint Surgical's growth across Canada. You will drive revenue growth, expand market adoption, develop a high-performing sales team, and build strategic partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem. This is a hands-on leadership role for an ambitious sales leader who thrives in complex healthcare environments and is passionate about bringing innovative technology to surgeons and their patients

What You Will Do:

Lead Strategic Sales Growth:
  • Lead and/or manage complex selling activities, including capital equipment sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers, hospital procurement teams, and contract approval/renewal processes
  • Generate new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, targeted sales outreach, and customer engagement that drives adoption and market expansion.
  • Own the full sales lifecycle from lead generation and opportunity development through contract execution, implementation, and long-term account growth
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, translating market opportunities into accurate forecasts, business reviews, and revenue growth strategies.

Recruit, Develop, & Lead a High-Performing Team:
  • Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop Business Development Associates, strengthening sales capabilities, case coverage, and customer engagement across Canada.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance management, and professional development to help the team achieve regional objectives while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Guide and support external partners to ensure alignment with business goals, customer expectations, and commercial performance standards.

Build Strategic Healthcare & Government Partnerships:
  • Develop strong relationships with surgeons, hospital leaders, healthcare administrators, government ministries, and healthcare agencies to expand market access and product adoption.
  • Deliver a consultative, value-based selling approach that influences clinical and non-clinical stakeholders while helping customers navigate change and adoption.
  • Identify, establish, and manage strategic partnerships that support revenue growth, market expansion, and innovative care delivery models across public and private healthcare systems in Canada.

Drive Customer Success & Clinical Excellence:
  • Become a trusted expert in Intellijoint Surgical's technology, providing surgical case coverage, technical support, and hands-on guidance during product implementation and initial procedures.
  • Educate and train physicians, hospital staff, and clinical teams through 1:1 sessions, in-services, workshops, and educational programs that promote safe and effective product use.
  • Partner closely with customers, Marketing, and R&D to gather feedback, share market insights, improve customer outcomes, and inform future product and commercial strategies.
  • Deliver exceptional support to customers while driving utilization, retention, and expansion within approved accounts and healthcare networks.

What You Will Bring:

Sales & Commercial Leadership:
  • 7+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding targets and driving growth
  • Experience in medical devices, medtech, orthopaedics, or a related healthcare industry
  • Exposure to both direct (employee) and distributor sales models is an asset

Strategic Influencing & Relationship Building:
  • Skilled at navigating complex healthcare environments and influencing clinical, administrative, procurement, and government stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate clinical and economic value.

Leadership, Adaptability & Execution:
  • Proven ability to coach and develop a high-performing team while driving accountability and results.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable making decisions in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Clinical & Technical Aptitude:
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn quickly and present demos of advanced medical technologies
  • Operating room experience is preferred; knowledge of anatomy is an asset
Physical Job Requirements:

  • Frequent 2-handed lifting of up to 40 lbs. from floor to chair/table and from one to another surface at approximately the same level
  • Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight plus hours per day
  • Environmental exposures include eye protection, infectious disease, and radiation
  • Ability to wear 7-9 lbs of lead for extended periods of time while in the Operating Room
  • Frequent bending/stooping, squatting and balance
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in relation to travel and operating a personal computer.
Travel and Availability Requirements:
  • Ability to travel throughout the territory extensively with ease (must have access to a car)
  • Must be able to drive approximately 80% of the time within assigned territory
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts as required. Business Development Associates handle the majority of on-call responsibilities.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy
