Position Summary

We are seeking a Sales Engineer who thrives at the intersection of technology, manufacturing, and customer relationships. This role is designed as a leadership pipeline position with the opportunity to develop into Sales Manager as part of a planned succession over the next several years.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and executive leadership to identify new opportunities, support customer programs, and expand our presence in key strategic markets including aerospace, defense, advanced thermal management, and high-performance manufacturing.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a technical sales partner to customers by understanding their engineering challenges and identifying manufacturing solutions
  • Support and collaborate with the current Sales Manager while developing commercial leadership capabilities
  • Develop new business opportunities with OEMs, prime contractors, and Tier-1 suppliers
  • Engage with customer engineering teams early in the product design process to identify manufacturability improvements
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and program strategies in collaboration with internal teams
  • Represent Precision Resource at trade shows, industry conferences, and customer meetings
  • Coordinate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure successful program execution
  • Travel approximately 35-45% to support customer engagement and industry events

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with strong manufacturing experience who are looking to transition into technical sales are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, precision machining, additive manufacturing, or advanced metal manufacturing environments
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to both engineering and business audiences
  • Comfortable engaging with engineers, procurement teams, and executive decision makers
  • Motivated to develop into a commercial leader within a manufacturing organization
  • Willingness to travel across the United States for customer engagement and industry events
