About the RoleAs a Sales Engineer, you will operate as a lighter-weight forward deployed engineer embedded in our go-to-market motion - part builder, part consultant. You will sit at the intersection of sales, product, and AI: writing code to prototype agentic demos, configuring use-case-specific agent flows, and then walking into the room to present them to clinical, commercial, and technical stakeholders.
This is a role for an engineer who wants to be client-facing - someone who can build with their hands and communicate with executive polish. You will partner with sales leadership on strategic pursuits across pharma and health systems, turning complex AI capabilities into demos and narratives that make prospects say "I need this."
This role is based full-time in our Menlo Park, CA office.
What You'll Do- Build and deliver tailored, high-impact demos of our agentic AI platform - hands-on prototyping of agent flows, scripts, and demo environments mapped to each prospect's clinical and commercial workflows.
- Write code where it moves deals forward: demo scaffolding, light integrations, data mocking, and rapid proofs of concept with LLM and agentic tooling.
- Own the technical narrative in sales cycles - presentations, solution architectures, and ROI stories built alongside sales leadership.
- Run discovery and scoping with prospects, translating requirements into agent and solution designs the way a consultant would structure an engagement.
- Serve as the technical voice in the room - answering product, integration, and AI safety questions with credibility and clarity.
- Support pilots and proofs of concept hands-on, bridging the gap between what was sold and what gets deployed.
- Feed field insights back to Product and ML teams to sharpen the platform and the pitch.
What You BringMust-Have:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience spanning software engineering, forward deployed engineering, solutions/sales engineering, or technical consulting.
- Ability to code - comfortable in Python or JavaScript, working with APIs, and prototyping with LLM-based or agentic systems.
- Consulting-grade client presence: structured thinking, executive-level presentations, and the ability to run a room.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills; able to make complex technology simple for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous, high-growth environments.
- Commitment to safety, ethics, and patient-centered outcomes.
Nice-to-Have:- Forward deployed engineering, management consulting, or client-embedded delivery experience.
- Experience in healthcare, pharma, or life sciences technology.
- Familiarity with conversational AI, voice agents, or agentic workflows.
- Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
