Sales Development Program- Digital Power

Schneider Electric's Sales Development Program (SDP) in Digital Power is a structured, immersive 12-month experience based in Nashville, TN, designed to accelerate your growth and prepare you for a successful career within our Digital Power sales team.

Program Overview

Our Sales Development Program equips you with the technical knowledge, professional skills, and real world experience required to thrive in solution-based technical sales roles across the country. Over 12 months, you'll progress through two distinct phases that combine classroom learning, hands-on practice, and guided sales experience.

Phase 1: Foundations (Months 1-3)

Classroom Style Learning | Nashville, TN

Your journey begins with three months of comprehensive, instructor-led training that builds your confidence from the ground up.

You'll learn:
  • Electrical Fundamentals - What electricity is, how it works, and how our products connect to real world applications.
  • Product Training - In-depth understanding of our Square D portfolio, including electrical distribution and industrial control solutions.
  • Professional Skills - How to communicate effectively, write impactful emails, manage your time, and stay organized.
  • Market Overview - The Electrical Market and our Customers, our Distribution Partners, and Understanding customer needs
  • Sales Techniques - Core selling skills customer engagement strategies, and consultative selling approaches.


Phase 1 gives you the complete toolkit you need - whether you're coming from a technical major or learning these concepts for the first time.

Phase 2: Digital Power Commercial Support Specialist (Months 4-12)

Hands On Training in a Learning Environment | Nashville, TN

After building a solid foundation, you'll step into a hands-on commercial support specialist role supporting one of our experienced sales areas. This phase is designed to let you apply what you learned in Phase 1 while being supported and mentored by seasoned sales professionals.

You will:
  • Assist with quoting, customer support, and sales operations activities.
  • Collaborate with field sales teams serving distributors, contractors, consultants, and end users.
  • Apply consultative selling techniques through real customer opportunities.
  • Learn account management fundamentals and relationship-building strategies.
  • Participate in business development campaigns focused on identifying and developing new customer opportunities.
  • Develop an understanding of Schneider Electric's connected, IoT-enabled solutions and how to position complete customer solutions.
  • Gain exposure to the tools, processes, and expectations of future field sales roles.
  • Receive ongoing coaching and mentorship from experienced sales leaders and industry professionals.

Program Completion & Career Path

After 12 months, you'll be fully prepared to step into a role within our Digital Power Sales team at Schneider Electric. Graduates of the program interview for sales roles across the United States, and we seek candidates who are open to relocation to pursue these opportunities.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 74,400 - USD 111,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
