Full Job Description
The individual hired for this role will be trained, mentored, and developed with the intention of eventually succeeding the current Sales Manager of the department. Initially, this role will focus on mastering Kooltronic's regional sales, managing and growing existing accounts, and driving strategic business development. Over time, this individual will take on increasing leadership responsibilities, preparing to step into the Department Manager role and guide our entire sales and customer service team into the future.

Schedule: Full time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week (flexible schedule)

Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Key Job Responsibilities:

Executive Succession & Leadership Training
  • Leadership Shadowing: Work closely with the current Sales Manager to learn departmental operations, high-level strategy, and team management.
  • Strategic Planning: Gradually take on department-wide responsibilities, including setting sales targets, defining business development strategies, and reviewing overall business performance.
  • Team Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to internal sales staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as a key collaborative bridge between Sales and Engineering, ensuring customer requirements align with manufacturing capabilities.

Business Development & Market Expansion
  • Strategic Market Insight: Identify and secure new high-value business opportunities within key industrial sectors.
  • High-Yield Prospecting: Utilize LinkedIn, proprietary databases, and industry networks to build pipelines and establish relationships with decision-makers.
  • Value Proposition Delivery: Conduct technical and commercial presentations to prospective clients, positioning Kooltronic as the premium solution provider for sealed enclosure cooling.
  • Account Growth & Mapping: Analyze existing accounts to identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, maximizing regional and national revenue.

Regional Sales Operations
  • Pipeline Management: Oversee and maintain accurate CRM data to prospect, quote, close sales, and track performance metrics.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Develop and present accurate monthly and quarterly sales forecasts for senior leadership.
  • Travel & Relationship Building: Travel as necessary to close deals, conduct site visits, and represent Kooltronic at industry events.
  • Process Optimization: Oversee and refine the estimating, proposal, and sales order processing workflows to ensure maximum efficiency.

Customer Relationship Management
  • Support Oversight: Monitor service calls and customer escalations, ensuring prompt, effective resolution by the customer service team.
  • Warranty & Returns Evaluation: Oversee the Return Authorization (RA) process, determining warranty eligibility, restock terms, and financial adjustments in accordance with company policy.
  • Issue Resolution: Collaborate with Engineering to evaluate product issues in the field and deliver technical solutions for problematic situations.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven success in B2B sales or business development experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or technical engineering environment.
  • Leadership Potential: Proven experience or strong aptitude for leadership, team building, and strategic decision-making.
  • Education: BS/BA degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
  • Communication: Exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently influence stakeholders at all levels (both internally and externally).
  • Technical Savvy: High computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and modern CRM platforms.
  • Drive & Ambition: A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a strong desire to learn, grow, and step into an executive management role.
