Full Job Description
Shanahan Engineering Inc. is seeking a Sales Account Manager to support growth within the power generation industry. In this role, you will develop strong customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, prepare winning proposals, and negotiate contracts that deliver value for both customers and the business. Note on location: Remote (Texas-based candidates strongly preferred)

The successful candidate will have experience selling solutions related to gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, combined cycle equipment, or power generation services. Knowledge of construction, commissioning, EPC, and project management activities associated with gas turbine projects is required, along with experience supporting GE, Mitsubishi, or Siemens equipment.

A degree in Engineering, Business, Sales, or a related field is preferred. Frequent travel is required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular phone calls and face-to-face meetings.
  • Visit current and prospective customers regularly, deliver presentations, and strengthen key account relationships.
  • Travel frequently for business as required.
  • Generate new business to support the company's sales strategy, plans, and targets across Technical Field Service, Commissioning Services, and Consultancy Services.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets while supporting ongoing business operations by growing revenue from existing clients and targeted new customers.
  • Build relationships with prospective customers to create new sales opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans aligned with the company's commercial direction.
  • Create and update quarterly and annual business plans as required.
  • Prepare commercial and technical bid documents in response to customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with Shanahan head office departments and EthosEnergy business units, including Projects, Operations, and Finance, to finalize new customer agreements.
  • Identify and address customers' critical-to-quality requirements.
  • Follow EthosEnergy's commercial contracting procedures and Delegation of Authority requirements.
  • Support the development of strategies to increase sales within assigned regions or accounts.
  • Use Salesforce to track customer contacts, accounts, leads, opportunities, and other sales activities.
  • Keep senior management and relevant departments informed of opportunity status through Salesforce.
  • Prepare and deliver customer-facing presentations and lead client meetings.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Knowledge of gas turbine construction, commissioning, EPC, and project management.
  • Strong networking skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets.
  • Proven business development experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience

  • Experience with equipment or product lines from GE, Mitsubishi, or Siemens.
  • Previous sales experience involving gas turbines, compressors, steam turbines, or combined-cycle equipment used in power generation, construction, or commissioning.
  • Experience building professional networks, communicating effectively, and staying current on market strategies and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Education Requirements

  • Degree in engineering, business, sales, or a related field.

  • Must be able to travel
