What You'll Do- Promote and reinforce RK's safety culture across project sites and operations
- Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective actions to reduce risk
- Conduct ongoing safety inspections and audits on assigned projects
- Evaluate work environments, work practices, and jobsite conditions to improve safety performance
- Recommend safety controls, protective measures, and safe work practices
- Support compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements
- Perform substance abuse testing as required
- Deliver health and safety presentations during new hire orientation programs
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and corrective actions
- Conduct safety training on topics including fall protection, emergency response, hazard recognition, and other critical safety subjects
- Develop and implement site-specific safety training plans
- Support development and implementation of new safety standards and procedures
- Assist with workers' compensation claims management and clinic coordination when required
- Partner with project teams to address safety concerns and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Support subcontractor and vendor compliance with project safety requirements
- Maintain documentation, reports, and records related to safety activities
- Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You Bring- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years of safety, construction, manufacturing, industrial, or related experience
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices
- Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident prevention
- Experience conducting inspections, audits, investigations, and safety training preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all organizational levels
- Confidence and professionalism when addressing unsafe behaviors or conditions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to analyze situations, solve problems, and implement practical solutions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems
