Starting salary: $82,000 subject to experience and qualifications
Essential Job Duties:- Ensures compliance with Wright Tree Service, OSHA, DOT, and other applicable safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conducts safety inspections of work sites and facilities; identifies hazards and verifies corrective actions.
- Maintains safety records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Reviews and investigates incidents, accidents, near misses, and damage claims; recommends corrective actions.
- Provides safety support through job briefings, work-site observations, hazard identification, and compliance monitoring.
- Conducts safety meetings, stand-downs, tailgates, and other training activities to reinforce safe work practices.
- Provides on-the-job training, coaching, and feedback to improve employee safety performance and compliance.
- Reinforces safe work behaviors, corrects unsafe acts, and exercises stop-work authority when necessary.
- Partners with Division Management and Human Resources on safety concerns and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Maintains current knowledge of equipment specifications, industry practices, operating procedures, and safety requirements.
- Coordinates emergency response activities to mitigate hazards, protect life and property, and support service restoration efforts.
- Enforces on-the-job safety standards and promotes a strong safety culture.
- Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright's culture of safety and employee ownership.
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements: (Knowledge - Comprehension of a body of information acquired by experience or study. Skill - a present, observable competence to perform an activity. Ability - a competence to perform an observable behavior.)
- Experience working on tree trimming or line clearance crews and/or successful completion of applicable performance reviews.
- Knowledge of tree identification, growth habits, and arboricultural techniques for trimming, pruning, maintaining, repairing, and removing trees near energized conductors.
- Knowledge of ANSI Z133 Safety Requirements for Arboricultural Operations and ANSI A300 Tree Care Standards.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices applicable to utility vegetation management.
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and skill in reading and interpreting circuit maps.
- Skill in training, coaching, mentoring, and influencing employees to promote safe work practices.
- Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees, customers, and the public.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to representing Wright Tree Service positively.
- Proficiency in operating, inspecting, and performing basic service on required tools and equipment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, storm response, and emergency call-out situations.
Education, Certification & Experience Requirements:(The minimum level of education obtained, certifications held, or experience in years acceptable for the role.)
- Minimum of 5+ years of related experience in utility vegetation management, tree trimming, line clearance, safety, or a closely related field.
- Valid driver's license and medical card required.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain ISA Certified Arborist certification.

- Navigates uneven, rough, and difficult terrain, including wooded and remote areas.
