Safety Manager | Port Washington, WI

As a Safety Manager in Port Washington, WI, you’ll play a key role in building and leading a culture where safety isn’t just a priority—it’s a core value. You’ll be responsible for driving best-in-class safety practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and making sure every worker goes home safe every day.

 

HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Professional committed to continuous improvement and ongoing professional development to support our commercial construction projects by leading all on-site safety operations. This is a high-impact role for a safety professional who is passionate about protecting people, strengthening safety culture, and maintaining the highest standards of compliance. 

 

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of safety operations on active commercial construction projects
  • Ensure full OSHA compliance and implementation of company safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, site audits, and inspections
  • Complete accident reports and lead accident and incident investigations
  • Monitor and oversee all subcontractors and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Manage and enforce safety programs related to Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation
  • Proactively identify hazards and implement corrective actions before incidents occur
  • Present safety updates, findings, and recommendations to project leadership and senior stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years direct construction safety experience required
  • Degree in a safety related field preferred
  • OSHA 510 and or 500 a plus
  • CHST or CSP preferred
  • Advance knowledge ofconstruction safety standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
