Full Job Description
  • Lead all company safety programs across assigned operations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Lead and maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems, including documentation, internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Coordinate external ISO certification audits and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Manage and administer the company's KPA Safety Management System.
  • Utilize Novara Environmental software to manage environmental compliance, inspections, reporting, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, environmental incidents, and property damage events using root cause analysis.
  • Develop corrective and preventive action plans to reduce future incidents.
  • Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare reports for senior leadership.
  • Maintain OSHA logs, regulatory documentation, training records, and compliance reports.
  • Ensure contractor and vendor compliance with company safety standards.
  • Develop emergency response plans and coordinate emergency drills.
  • Partner with operations leaders to improve safety performance and environmental compliance.
  • Manage workers' compensation and assist with return-to-work initiatives.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Lead sustainability and environmental improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current on changing regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop safety personnel.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through leadership, accountability, and employee engagement.
