Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all- inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
• Promote safety awareness within the company
• Ensures compliance with current regulations
• Ensure that safety management has the same or higher priority level throughout the company as any other management and operational processes
• Conduct root cause analysis of safety incidents and develop plans to prevent reoccurrence
• Provide safety reports
• Provide safety advice to top management and propose corrective actions on safety related issues
• Ensure that safety-related documentation and records are available and up to date
• Conduct periodic inspections of job sites to assist managers and supervisors in environmental, health, and safety compliance.
• Evaluates staff to determine safety training requirements. Provides on-the-job training and support to employees.
• Observes all safety and company rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
• Designs, develops and conducts safety and environmental training programs. Secure understanding and agreement with the standards by the individuals concerned. Collects, analyzes and maintains data essential for effective safety and environmental programs.
  • Secure compliance within all Company departments, while providing procedures and policies.
  • Works with administration of workers' compensation program to determine areas for increased training and emphasis on accident prevention.
  • Keep current with all safety certifications for self and key company personnel.

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field experience required.
• Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must possess a working knowledge of trade services/construction and general industry standards.
• Strong leadership, supervisory, communications, and computer skills are required.
• Must be flexible to work overtime/weekends and travel as required.
