Roofing Project Manager - Full-Time | Vacaville, CA

SERVPRO of Vacaville / Dixon, Fairfield / Suisun, Davis, and West Sacramento is hiring a Roofing Project Manager to lead residential and commercial roofing work from estimate through closeout.

What you will do:

  • Inspect roofs, measure and photograph damage, prepare takeoffs and estimates, and write a clear scope of work. Xactimate or similar insurance-estimating software is a strong plus.
  • Work with homeowners, commercial property contacts, and insurance adjusters. Identify supplements, code upgrades, and change orders; document them; and secure approval before work proceeds.
  • Build and protect project schedules. Coordinate crew start times, material deliveries, dumpsters, inspections, and weather delays across multiple active jobs.
  • Order materials, confirm deliveries against the takeoff, and keep crews from waiting on product.
  • Staff jobs correctly, qualify and schedule subcontractors, verify insurance certificates, and hold the field to SERVPRO quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure work matches the approved scope, plans, local codes, Cal/OSHA rules, and manufacturer specifications. Coordinate permits and inspections with local AHJs.
  • Apply current California requirements that affect our work, including Title 24 cool-roof rules where they apply and wildfire-resistant (Chapter 7A / Class A) assemblies in designated high-hazard zones.
  • Maintain a complete job file: photos, daily notes, contracts, change orders, material tickets, inspection records, and closeout paperwork.
  • Track labor, materials, and extras against the estimate. Protect margin, flag overruns early, and support accurate billing.
  • Enforce fall protection, ladder and roof-access rules, and job-site housekeeping. Stop work when conditions are unsafe.

Required

  • Proven construction or roofing project management experience (typically 3+ years supervising crews, jobs, or subcontractors)
  • Working knowledge of residential and commercial roofing systems (asphalt shingle, tile, metal, and low-slope membranes such as TPO, PVC, EPDM, or modified bitumen)
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, and scopes of work and to walk a roof safely
  • Strong organization, leadership, and follow-through
  • Clear written and verbal communication with customers, adjusters, crews, and city inspectors
  • Valid California driver's license, acceptable driving record, and daily travel throughout the service area
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet company safety and drug-screening requirements
  • Comfort with technology: email, spreadsheets, photos, and job-management or estimating software

Preferred

  • PMP or equivalent project-management credential
  • Xactimate experience and insurance restoration / storm-claim workflows
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (Construction); fall-protection training
  • Experience pulling permits in Solano and Yolo County jurisdictions
  • CSLB C-39 roofing knowledge or work under a licensed C-39 contractor
  • Bilingual English / Spanish

Physical and work conditions
Field-forward role. You will inspect roofs, climb ladders, walk sloped and low-slope surfaces, and work on active sites in heat, cold, and wind. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work at heights is required. Hours follow production and weather; early starts, evenings, and storm-response days are expected.

Compensation: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
