Description

The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts & Sciences at Baylor University invites applications for the Robert and Veronica K. Piziak Endowed Chair in Mathematics, a tenured position at the rank of Professor beginning August 2027.

We seek an internationally recognized scholar with a vibrant research program in mathematics. The ideal candidate will have exceptional expertise and a record of research at the forefront of important advances in the field. The successful candidate will be expected to make significant contributions to the department's research and teaching missions. We seek a collegial faculty member who will contribute positively to a departmental culture of outstanding research, excellent teaching, and dedicated service to undergraduate and graduate students.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in mathematics or a closely related field. Applicants are expected to have a distinguished record of publication and scholarship in mathematics. Experience securing external grant funding and mentoring graduate students is preferred.
